The Staff of Erie Promotions & Expos is pleased to announce that Portatz Floral Shop & Greenhouses has been named the Official Decorator of the Erie Home & Garden Expo.

They have been charged with the task of decorating and beautifying the Bayfront Convention Center to make you feel like Spring is truly on it’s way. They are holding their landscaping plans close to their chest and vow to overwhelm show goers as they enter this year’s Expo.

If you’re tired of gloomy days all that snow outside, you’ll want to take a seat at the Time Warner Stage and Learn Interior Landscaping from the plantscape designers at Potratz. They’ll show you how to provide small havens in your home or business where nature will seem to abound – interior landscapes. “The presence of living plants adds color, texture and interest to any area.” It’s a proven fact that living plants reduce sensory overload from artificial materials, filters contaminants from indoor air, and increase oxygen in lighted rooms and decrease noise. These plantscape designer will not only guide you on how to design these interior landscape, they will share tips with you on how to keep those living plants looking beautiful all year long. About Potratz Floral Shop & Greenhouses

Potratz has been a tradition in the Erie region since 1919. Herman and Elizabeth Potratz started the business with the goal of service and satisfaction to customers. They began by selling flowering and vegetable plants and cut flowers. Gradually, the business evolved into a florist and greenhouse production. In 1982, a fire devastated the floral shop only a few days before Christmas. However, the shop was rebuilt (quadrupling in size), remodeled and business prospered; thanks to our loyal customers. The greenhouse has also grown over the years with the addition of 4 new greenhouse structures. Known for creative flair and taste in exquisite flowers and arrangements, Potratz has grown to become a favorite place to shop for extraordinary plants and topiaries, silks, gifts and home accessories.

And it is a tradition that we uphold each and every day.” Today, Potratz currently conducts business with a retail floral and gift shop, 7 greenhouses comprising of 25,000 square feet of floor space, indoor and outdoor landscaping divisions, garden and nursery divisions and a 5-acre growing range in North East, PA.
